Several days ago, exactly 10 days ago, the Bengals entered combat with Hallandale High, the team that would determine their advancement to the playoffs. They fought selfishly, with all positions sweating for a decisive goal that would most definitely drag them into the next phase of their competition. But they fumbled terribly after 3+ misses that did not only almost cost them the entire game; those 3+ misses nearly crash-landed their future in the sport this year as well. Possession was lost left and right, and the players crowded the ball like a house-party from a group of college students; No one had time to think just for a second and this led to many unfortunate mistakes that could’ve been detrimental to the game. The players obviously weren’t bad at skilling their opponents into a misdirection; but their finishing was so atrocious, it made me, a fellow Soccer lover want to close my screen and never watch them again. I didn’t even believe it was possible to miss a 1v1 chance in front of the goal by shooting the ball outside the box. The defenders, the Goalkeeper, and the midfielders did an amazing job from their positions, but the main problem was the finishing and the quality of the strikers' shots. After several interviews with the players, they have all concluded the same idea that most of the eyewitnesses have. Those strikers did an atrocious job at being strikers and utilizing great chances to increase their lead.

This re-draws us to the question; are the Bengals really a threat? The answer is yes; the Bengals are an immense danger that should be reckoned with...

One interview, however, really did make me wonder how the Bengals even managed to make it this far; a defender from the Bengal Boys stated, “We barely won.” Even though Hallandale had lost to the Bengals, they showed more possession and control on the ball than the Bengals did; they were more “Hungry for a win” than the Bengals should be, and this was one of the main drawbacks that could’ve decimated the Bengals. This re-draws us to the question; are the Bengals really a threat? The answer is yes; the Bengals are an immense danger that should be reckoned with, even though they do have some weaknesses; they all know what they must work on and are constantly being pushed by their Coach and Assistant Coach to become the best players and team they can be. This amazing support will lead them to a sure victory that will surely make the school proud of its efforts.
