#RISE FOR HOMECOMING 2023!

BBN Editor Anngelie Gomez provides a glimpse of this year's homecoming festivities.

October 2nd- October 6th marked Piper’s first spirit week of the year! In celebration of our varsity football team’s last homecoming game against Plantation, which spoiler alert- they flawlessly won, Ms. Howard and SGA put together a set of themes for Bengal scholars to freely participate in. Apart from dressing up, this week was also full of activities including musical chairs during lunch, a pep rally, and of course homecoming! Let’s run back through what each day had in store for Piper.

MONDAY OCTOBER 2ND- CHARACTER DAY

Starting off strong with character day, in which students cosplay as their favorite character, whether that be from a book, movie, or anime.

TUESDAY OCTOBER 3RD- SENIORS CITIZENS VS BABIES

On to a more funny one: Seniors dress as senior citizens, underclassmen dress as babies, and teachers dress as students. It’s no doubt ID’s were thoroughly checked on this day.

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 4TH- SOCCER MOM & BBQ DAD

A lot of beer bellies and lulu lemon in the hallways! Parents were definitely missing two or more pieces of clothing in their wardrobe.

THURSDAY OCTOBER 5TH- CLASS COLOR WARS/ PEP RALLY

In correlation with the pep rally, freshman dressed in white, sophmores in brown, juniors in orange, and seniors in black! For the first time in years, Piper decided to host their homecoming pep rally in the gym which not only relieved us of the hot florida weather but also brought our classes closer together! This pep rally was full of performances from our cheerleaders, band, athletes and some extra activities on the side!

FRIDAY OCTOBER 6TH- SPIRIT DAY

Showing off some bengal pride for the homecoming game that night by wearing piper colors/ gear! Really such a beautiful experience seeing our student body share school spirit- GO PIPER!!

SPECIAL: HOMECOMING DANCE

What a magical night set up by Ms. Howard and SGA! Not only did the gym feel like an enchanted forest but the students and staff did not come to disappoint with those elegant outfits!
